This late Woodland Haudenosaunee Village lies buried under the proposed Pickering Airport Lands. It is site A1Gt-2 and just one of Seventeen registered Late Woodland Sites known to exist on the Duffins Creek Watershed. It covered 13 acres and housed between 2000 to 2500 people. The map clearly shows the Long Houses and the Palisades. It was excavated in the mid 1970's and produced over 1 million artifacts ..... Source London Museum of Archaeology
