The Porcupine is an nocturnal animal, and are the second largest rodents found in Canada. They spend their time eating bark, buds and leaves of trees. They also have a taste for things salty. It is a rare sight in the GTA, driven out by development. The animal deserves respect

animal deserves respect because getting too close can be one painful experience. Armed with 30,000 sharp, slightly barbed quills, the porcupine's defense system is almost invulnerable. Porcupines cannot throw their quills, but rather swats it's tail dislodging them.
