Butterflies and Children
We are finally realizing that the human condition is linked to
the fate of other species. Nowhere is this more clearly
illustrated than in the case of children and butterflies. What
butterflies have in common with children is their vulnerability
to toxins. In recent years butterflies have seen their numbers
drastically reduced, because of the widespread use of common
herbicides, pesticides and fungicides.

To improve the situation for both our children and butterfly our
dependance on toxic chemicals must come to an end.

The Cabbage White Butterfly used my mothers cabbage patch as a
nursery, and was without question, considered a pest. The Monarch
Butterfly which is not a pest suffers a different fate. Its
young, lives off the Milk Weed Plant which is considered a pest.

To protect our human interests, we control these weeds and pests
with toxic chemicals. It is only now, we are realizing just how
deadly our control is. Recently a decree has been put out to
spray and destroy all milkweed plants on your lands; the very
food source for the Monarchs.
