The American Wigeon is another duck that passes through the GTA on it's way up north. It rides higher in the water; than most ducks; and sometimes grazes on land. The Male has a green patch on it's head; as well as the white crown. The female lacks both; the white crown or green patch. Their call is a very delicate whistled whee whee whee.
