The Rouge Foundation
The Rouge Foundation is a nonprofit charitable organization
founded in 1984. Its mandate is to raise funding, for that
contribute to the preservation of the Rouge and its natural and
cultural heritage. Projects supported in the past include 10,000
Trees, Restoration of the Pearse House, Slide Shows and Videos
for Schools, Information Pamphlets and Brochures, Educational
Displays for use at Fairs or Local Events.

The source of funding for the Rouge Foundation comes from the Government, Corporations,and
donations from Individuals who want to see the Rouge preserved for the Next Generation.

Funding Guidelines
- Education to increase public awareness and appreciation of
natural resources.
- Rehabilitation of trails and streams and trees.
- Research water quality, wildlife, and forest health
- Conservation Awards for groups/individuals
- Conservation Center
- Acquisition of land important to Rouge Valley protection
- Develop a master plan for Natural Heritage Park
