Comb Tooth Small Branch
Small Branch Of Comb Tooth

This fungi is quite common, and is found on dead hardwood tree trunks. As the fungi ages it changes colour. It starts off pure white and then changes to a cream color and then brown. The fungi forms a rather elaborate branch system ( It Looks A Little Like Coral ) with it's fertile spikes hanging down. It is edible ... Remember unless you are an expert on fungi, do not pick any wild mushrooms for food, the danger is too great.
