forward wing spots depending on the sex of the butterfly. The Cabbage White is one of the most common butterflies we
see in North America. It was a Eurasian Butterfly that wasbrought over here and has done well in it's adopted home. The young caterpillars enjoy garden products to the point ofbeing pests.
My mother and the cabbage white carried on a warfare to determine just whom got the best of her broccoli, cabbages, cauliflower, and brussels sprouts, she lovingly planted in her annual gardens. She usually won because we kids always could enjoy fresh cabbage rolls, brussels sprouts , broccoli and cauliflower in the late summer, fall and winter.
