This plant is known as Devils Paintbrush and Orange Paintbrush. It is a member of the Sunflower Family and is a perennial, blooming June thru August. It too is an imported species gone wild. It was believed Hawks ate the flowers to improve their eyesight. There is a yellow version of hawkweed called Yellow Hawkweed or King Devil.
