Birdsfoot is a member of the Pea/Bean Family. The flower is vivid
yellow and has a pattern that resembles a bird's foot. It blooms
from June to September. Like it cousins it is a legume, so it
adds nitrogen to the soil. This plant has been genetically
modified to increase its value as a feed crop for cattle and sheep.
