This plant is a member of the Pea/Bean Family, and blooms June thru August. The flowers may be blue or lavender. They provide a feast for Bees and Butterflies because of the nectar in the flowers. It is found throughout southern Canada. It is sometimes used as a controlled cover crop to put back nitrogen in the soil.
