The Eastern Bluebird has finally returned to the Rouge. A pair, has been observed, as they occupy one of the many boxes that have been set out by SRVS. Eggs have been laid. The bird is a little bigger than a sparrow and has a rusty red breast and white towards the rear. Its overall color is a brilliant blue. The female's colors are more sedate. Its voice is a chur-wi or tru-ly note. They live on insects, worms, fruit, berries and snails. They are members of the Thrush Family Turidae. Seen on the Oak Ridges Moraine also.
