First Nations Peoples have lived in this area for at least 6000 years. They lived along the banks of the Rouge River, The Humber River, Duffins Creek, around Georgian Bay and on the banks of Rice Lake. Their history was not written down; and First Nations Buried Secrets and Artifacts are being destroyed by development at an alarming pace.
